There isn’t a rigid definition for a mother. One who gave birth. One who nurtures. Or, one who protects?
There is a lot of variation between the ideal mother and the real mother. The role cannot be clung to only that particular woman who satisfies a fixed set of characteristics. Everything with a wide range of variations , can be considered mother. Some are more nourishing than they are protective. Some just gave birth. Never nurtured or protected. Accept, all those shades. With love. Because you are alive. You were allowed to live. That is the biggest thing she has ever done for you.
Here is to all mothers- loving, kind, rough , harsh, or even stubborn. You gave us life. Thankyou.
